EDC for cardiology clinical trials, with QTc calculated for you

Cardiology trials run on precise, repeated measurements. Capture’s ECG and vitals templates come with QTc, QTcF, MAP and pulse pressure as calculated fields, so a value is computed the same way every time and flagged automatically when it is out of range.

  • ECG and vitals templates
  • QTc, QTcF, MAP calculated fields
  • Edit checks on every reading

ECG and vitals

Standard cardiology forms, ready to use or adapt

The template library includes ECG and vital signs forms you can use as they are or hand to the AI to adjust for your specific protocol. Upload a source sheet or describe the change, and review the draft before anything is saved.

  • ECG template with interval fields ready for calculated QTc and QTcF.
  • Vitals template covers blood pressure, pulse, temperature and respiratory rate.
  • Add repeating table sections for serial measurements at multiple timepoints.

Calculated fields

QTc, QTcF, MAP and pulse pressure, computed the same way every time

Map a calculated field to the blood pressure or heart rate and QT interval questions already on the form, and Capture fills in the derived value read-only during entry. No site-by-site variation in which formula was used.

  • QTc (Bazett) and QTcF (Fridericia), from heart rate and the QT interval.
  • MAP and pulse pressure, from systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
  • Values are read-only and shown next to their source fields for the site to see.

Data quality

A query raised the moment a reading is out of range

Attach range rules to any measurement. When a site enters a QTc, blood pressure or heart rate value that breaks your rule, Capture raises an auto-query straight away, with your own message template filled in with the value and the limit.

  • Range high, range low and custom-value rules, with configurable priority.
  • Field-level audit trail on every reading, not editable from the app.

FAQ

Questions teams ask before they switch

Something not covered here? Ask us directly.

Which QTc formulas does Capture support?

Bazett and Fridericia, both available as calculated fields mapped to the QT interval and heart rate questions on your form.

Can Capture calculate MAP and pulse pressure automatically?

Yes. Both can be set up as calculated fields from systolic and diastolic blood pressure, filled in read-only during entry.

Does the template library include an ECG form?

Yes, alongside vitals, demographics, physical exam, medical history, adverse events and laboratory templates. The AI can adapt any of them to your specific protocol.

What happens when a QTc value is out of range?

If you have set a range rule on that field, Capture raises an auto-query automatically, using your own message template with the entered value and the limit filled in.

Can we export ECG and vitals data with the calculated values included?

Yes. CSV and Excel exports include calculated fields alongside their source values, with an automatic data dictionary describing each one.

What does it cost to try?

Nothing to start. The free sandbox has no credit card and no time limit. You pay only once you go live with real participant data.
