Why it matters
From weekly reports to a live view
Many studies still run on weekly status reports assembled from exports and spreadsheets. By the time a report shows a site falling behind on diaries or an SAE waiting for sign-off, a week has passed. A dashboard that reads directly from the study data shows the same information as it happens, so the team acts on today's picture.
Different people need different views: a sponsor wants enrolment against target across countries, a CRA wants their sites' open issues, a data manager wants missing and overdue forms. Measures
Measures worth watching
A handful of measures predict most study problems: enrolment rate by site compared with plan, screen-failure rate by criterion, diary compliance, query age, time from visit to data entry, and SAEs waiting for review. Agree targets for each at the start of the study, and review them at a set rhythm, weekly for fast-moving studies.
