A trial manager is accountable for timelines, sites, quality and budget without owning the system. Capture gives you a live status picture, a queryable data set and an amendment path that does not wait on a vendor ticket.

What trial managers get
The role
Clinical trial managers coordinate the plan across functions: operations, data management, monitoring, vendors and sites. The weekly questions repeat. Are we on track for enrolment? Which sites are behind? What is the query backlog? Is any form change pending? Are we about to miss a milestone?
Those answers should not depend on a coordinator building a deck. In Capture they come from the system itself: enrolment by site, outstanding visits, open queries by age and priority, and forms waiting for approval. This page is the manager's view; the function-level product page is clinical operations software for clinical trials, and the study-tracking module is described at CTMS.
Capture does not claim to replace budget and contract management, and it does not manage vendor contracts. It is where the study data lives and where its operational state is visible.
Oversight
The status overview shows each subject and visit, so you can see which visits are complete, which are overdue and where data is outstanding. Filters by site let you compare locations without waiting for a report.
Quality
Edit checks fire when a site enters a value that breaks a rule, and monitors can raise their own queries. Everyone works one list, so a trial manager sees the backlog by age and priority and can escalate to a site before it becomes a lock-time problem.

Enter data for a few dummy participants across two sites in the free sandbox and watch the status and queries update.

Start-up
Let the AI study builder draft visits and forms; your data manager reviews each one.
Add researchers, site coordinators and admins with the right access.
Run a mock site through enrolment, consent and a visit, then fix gaps.
Switch to live when you are ready; you pay only once real participants are enrolled.
It tracks sites, milestones, enrollment and tasks in the same platform as the data, but it is not a billing, contract or regulatory-binder system. Keep any institutional CTMS your organisation requires.
Through the status overview and by-site filters on data and exports, drawn from the same records the sites enter.
Yes. Approved forms are locked for live use, so changes happen in a new draft that you preview and approve, with the history recorded.
SDV can be set per field, monitors can raise queries, and edit checks raise auto-queries. See the risk-based monitoring guide for approaches.
The operations page describes the function. This page is the manager's weekly view and decisions.
