Where to find it

Settings > Collaboration, or Task rules on the Tasks page

Before you start

  • The CRO collaboration module is switched on and you can manage study settings (Study Owner, Study Manager or Administrator).

Set up task rules

  1. Open Settings > Collaboration.

  2. Switch on the rules you need.

Available rules: Missed ePRO, Dropout risk, AE review, Open query, Visit due, Survey not done, Visit date missing, Schedule stopped, and Survey waiting for a visit.

  3. For each rule, choose Assign to role, the Organisation, the due days and the Priority, and set the rule's own threshold, such as Open longer than (days).

  4. Click Save rules.

  5. Optionally click Run rules now to create tasks straight away.

You see how many new tasks were created.

How task rules behave

  • Rules run every hour. Each record gets at most one task per rule.
  • A task goes to the one person who holds the chosen role; for site roles, at the participant's site. If several people hold the role, the task waits unassigned in that organisation's queue.
  • Rule-made tasks show System as their source; tasks people create show Manual.
