Let participants sign up with a link or QR code

Switch on Participant self-enrollment (ePRO) in Settings > General > Modules. Then open Settings > Participant Portal > Enrolment & consent > Enrollment links & QR codes to copy the study link, a site link, or download the QR code. The link works once the study is live.

Where to find it

Settings > Participant Portal > Enrolment & consent > Enrollment links & QR codes

Before you start

  • You can manage study settings. Site staff can also copy their site's link from the site card when self-enrollment is on.

Switch on self-enrollment

  1. Open Settings > General > Modules and switch on Participant self-enrollment (ePRO).

  2. Under Who can add participants, choose Participants only or Participants and site staff.

  3. Choose what happens After self-enrollment, for example the site does screening and randomization.

Share the link or QR code

  1. Open Settings > Participant Portal > Enrolment & consent > Enrollment links & QR codes.

  2. On Direct, copy the Enrollment Link or download the QR code as PNG or SVG.

  3. On Sites, use a site's own link or QR code: participants who use it join that site and see its contact details.

  4. Click Preview Participant Portal to see the journey as a participant.

The Overview tab shows how many people clicked, consented and enrolled, by site. Participants follow the journey welcome page, participant information, eConsent and screening questions (what participants see).

Recruitment landing pages

In Settings > Recruitment, click Create Landing Page to build a public page that collects interest, with optional pre-screening questions. Each page has Copy URL and a printable QR code, and counts views and submissions. People who qualify go on to the study sign-up page.

Questions

Do participants need to download an app?
