Unblind a participant in an emergency
On the participant's Randomization card, click Emergency Unblind. Give the medical reason, tick the attestation, type UNBLIND to confirm and click Reveal Treatment. The arm is shown to you and the action is recorded permanently.

Participant page > Randomization > Emergency Unblind
Before you start
- You are a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator at the participant's site, in a blinded study, and the participant is randomized.
Unblind the participant
Open the participant and, on the Randomization card, click Emergency Unblind.
Read the warning: use this only when knowing the treatment is necessary for the participant's care.
Write the Medical Reason (at least 10 characters) and tick Life-threatening or fatal event if it applies.
Tick the attestation and type UNBLIND in the confirmation box.
Click Reveal Treatment.
The arm and code are shown, with the reminder that the sponsor must be notified within 24 hours.
