Where to find it

Inventory > Create Shipment

Before you start

  • The Inventory & IMP Management module is switched on (switch modules on or off).
  • The kit list is loaded and the destination site is activated.

Set the supply settings (once per study)

  1. Open Settings > Inventory.

  2. Under Site supply, set Initial shipment quantity per site, Resupply trigger level and Buffer stock.

  3. Under Kit packaging and Dispensing defaults, describe the kit and how many kits go out per dispensing.

  4. Click Save inventory settings.

Fields marked "Not set - required for Create Shipment" must be filled before anyone can ship.

Create the shipment

  1. Open Inventory and click Create Shipment (or Create shipment in the Resupply needed box).

  2. Pick the Destination site.

Sites that are not activated are greyed out.

  3. Choose the Quantity basis: the initial shipment from the study settings, a number of participants to cover, or a target stock level at the site.

  4. Optionally enter a Shipment reference. Capture creates one if you leave it empty.

  5. Check the preview: kits to ship, site stock after receipt, expiry range and kit numbers.

  6. Click Create shipment.

The kits move to In Transit until the site receives the shipment.
