Destroy kits with a destruction basket
Open Inventory > Destruction, create a basket, add reconciled or unusable kits, then Finalize and later Confirm destruction with the certificate number. Both steps are signed with your password.

Before you start
- The Inventory & IMP Management module is switched on (switch modules on or off).
- Pharmacists, investigators, study coordinators and CRAs can build baskets. Pharmacists and Principal Investigators confirm destruction.
Destroy kits
Click New basket, choose Destroy on site (and the site) or Ship to depot for destruction, then Create basket.
Click Add kits.
Only reconciled or unusable kits that are not already in a basket can be added.
Click Finalize, enter the Notification emails, enter your password and click Finalize & sign.
The basket is locked and the people you listed get an email.
If the kits travel to a depot, click Mark in transit and add a tracking reference.
Click Confirm destruction, fill the Certificate of Destruction number, facility, method and notes, enter your password and confirm.
The kits are marked permanently destroyed.
A draft basket can be cancelled with a reason. Nothing is removed from the supplies audit trail.
