Resend a sign-in link or send a survey link
To give a participant a new way in, click Resend link on their Portal Access card. To send one survey directly, click Send survey link next to the open survey and then Send email: the link opens that survey with one tap until it closes.
Resend the portal sign-in link
Open the participant and find Portal Access.
Click Resend link, give a reason and click Send link.
The new link works once, for 24 hours. Older unused links keep working until they expire.
Email the link to one survey
Find the open survey in the participant's visit schedule or the Casebook visit panel.
Click Send survey link and check the preview: recipient, subject, text and when it was last sent.
Click Send email.
The link signs the participant in and opens the survey with one tap, as often as needed, until the survey closes.
Only site staff can send survey links, and only while the study is live. They are sent even if the participant switched off email notifications, because you send them on purpose. A survey can be sent up to five times an hour.
Common messages
- "Failed to send access link. Please try again.": check the email on file and that the participant is not withdrawn. If you sent several links within the hour, wait and try again.
- "This survey is already submitted or closed.": there is nothing left to send.
- "The participant has withdrawn." or "is a screen failure": links are not sent to them.
