Change your password

Click your name at the top right > Account Settings > Profile and use the Change Password card: enter your current password and the new one twice, then click Update Password. Passwords expire every 90 days, and a banner reminds you a week before.

Where to find it

Your name (top right) > Account Settings > Profile > Change Password

Change your password

  1. Click your name at the top right and choose Account Settings.

  2. On the Profile tab, find Change Password.

It shows when you last changed your password and when it expires.

  3. Enter Current Password, New Password and Confirm New Password.

  4. Check the list under the boxes: at least 12 characters, an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and both new passwords matching.

  5. Click Update Password.

You see "Password updated successfully! Your password will expire in 90 days."

Password expiry

From 7 days before your password expires, a banner at the top of the screen says how many days are left, with a Change Password button. If your password has already expired, you may be asked to change it before you can save data or sign anything.

Common messages

  • "Current password is incorrect": check your current password. If you recently typed wrong passwords while signing, signing may be locked for a while; see locked out.
  • "Your new password must be different from the current one": choose a new password.
  • "Please meet all password requirements": the button stays disabled until every item in the list is ticked.
