Lock data in bulk

  1. Open the Casebook and click Lock.

  2. Choose Interim lock (cutoff), Lock selected subjects or Lock selected visits.

  3. Set the scope: a visit cutoff (everything up to and including a visit) or a date cutoff, the site, and the participants or visits.

  4. Click Preview scope.

You see how many fields, forms and participants will be locked, and the unresolved items: open queries, fields without SDV and empty required fields.

  5. Click Sign and lock, tick the signature acknowledgment (and the outstanding items, if any), give a reason, type the confirmation text shown and your password.

  6. Click Lock data.

Lock history and unlocking a run

Choose Lock > Lock history to see each run: when, type, scope, site, who signed, how many participants and fields, and the reason. Export gives the locked data as SAS XPT or CSV, for example for a DSMB. To undo a run, click Unlock, choose a reason and sign. Unlocked runs stay in the history.
