Medidata Rave is designed for scale: large multinational programmes, complex designs, many sites and a sponsor organisation with data managers, programmers and validated processes around it. The trade-off for smaller teams is the route to a live study: vendor or CRO builds, specification documents, change control and contracts sized for enterprise use.
