Counting the integrations
A typical study might use one vendor for eCOA and IRT and another for EDC. Every participant then exists in two systems, with allocation, dispensing and questionnaire data flowing between them. The integration has to be specified, built, tested and monitored, and it is often the source of reconciliation queries.
