Build a study from your protocol with AI

On the Create Your Study page, describe your study or drop your protocol (PDF, DOCX or DOC, up to 10 MB), then click Generate Study. Review what was generated and click Launch Study to create the draft. Nothing goes live until you check it and launch it yourself.

Where to find it

Welcome screen > Start with AI, or Create study on the study list

Before you start

  • Your protocol or synopsis as PDF, DOCX or DOC, up to 10 MB. The best results come from a protocol with a Schedule of Assessments table and a list of assessments.

Generate the study

  1. Click Start with AI on the welcome screen, or Create study on the study list.

  2. Either type a description in Describe your study, or drop your protocol file under "or upload".

In a description, include the therapeutic area, endpoints, visit schedule and assessments.

  3. If you uploaded a file, add any Additional Notes (optional).

  4. Click Generate Study.

Progress messages show while the document is read and the forms, consent forms and schedule are built.

  5. Review Study Generated Successfully: the name, therapeutic area, number of forms and visits, and the Generated Forms list.

Click Start Over if it is not right.

  6. Click Launch Study to create the study.

Despite its name, this button creates a draft study only. It does not make the study live.

What AI builds, and what you check

  • Study details: name, description, protocol number, therapeutic area, target enrollment and duration.
  • eCRF and ePRO forms with their questions, consent forms with sections, and visits with day offsets, windows and forms.
  • If no visit schedule was found, a standard Phase 1 starter schedule is added for you to adjust.
  • Your protocol file is kept under Settings > General > Documents & uploads.
